Early experiences, from moments spent embroidering and stitching to being immersed in the vibrant world of Madras Checks in a traditional Chennai home, shaped a lifelong connection with textiles — one that is both personal and deeply rooted.

This journey evolved through continued exposure to India’s rich handloom traditions — visiting exhibitions, engaging with weavers’ communities such as Pochampally, and developing a profound respect for heritage craftsmanship. While formal education followed a conventional path, the direction was always clear — to create, design, and preserve.

What began as a modest atelier grew into Srishtie, and eventually evolved into Studio Rama — a brand where tradition is not simply preserved, but thoughtfully reinterpreted for the present.
